Write to the family organisation at the address below. Everything that arrives is read by a descendant, not a mailbox nobody opens.
Most useful to send
Anything at all is welcome, but these are the gaps that would change the site most:
- The 2007 history, in digital formAll twelve children are written up in Danish Pioneers of 1857. A manuscript file or scan — with the three authors’ agreement — would turn twelve thin pages into twelve real ones.
- PhotographsWe have one portrait of Niels and Christiane and none of nine of their twelve children.
- CorrectionsIf a date here contradicts a record you hold, say so. Tell us what the document is and we will show both.
What happens to what you send
Material published on this site is credited to the person who sent it, unless you ask otherwise. Corrections are applied and noted on the Sources page, so the change is visible rather than silent.
We do not publish home addresses or telephone numbers of living relatives. The 1997 mailing list — 97 households with addresses and phone numbers — stays off this site for that reason, and anything you send is treated the same way.
About this site
It is maintained by David S. Christensen, a descendant of Niels and Christiane, and grew out of the family meetings held at East Mill Creek in 1997 and Provo in 1998. The Contribute page explains what the family set out to do then, and how much of it is still undone.
